New Volunteer Screening Process:
- Step 1: Complete the application.
- Paper Copy available here(PDF) to print or at your local River Valley District extension office OR
- Online version available here: https://kstate.qualtrics.com/SE/?SID=SV_0djM5LQSrVk1eXb
- Step 2: Create a profile on Kansas 4-H Online.
- Step 3: Complete orientation through 4-H Online profile. Orientation Steps (PDF).
- Step 4: Complete interview with extension staff. Contact the 4-H Program Manager at your local River Valley District extension office to schedule.
- Step 5: Complete Criminal Background Check. CBC Steps (PDF)

Volunteer Renewal: After being appointed as a volunteer, you will need to complete the annual renewal form. Every three years, the Child Abuse and Neglect Form (DCF) and Criminal Background Check are required.
